In 2014, the group investigated animal sounds in lexical typological perspective. Students presented analyses of this semantic field in different languages. As a result, a database containig the data of 20 languages was created and a collection of papers with detailed descriptions of the semantic systems in question was published.

In 2015, the focus of the research shifted to the zone of falling. Fundamental components of this field were discoverd: (1) object of falling, (2) starting point of falling, (3) end point of falling. These components served as the basis for the semantic map, which summarized similarities and differences in the organization of this field in languages of the world. A database visualizing connections between frames of falling in different languages was created and published on-line.
